What We Do

Gantt charts remain fundamental in delivering projects and have many benefits during design, procurement, and offsite works. However, they often fail to bring out the real issues in site logic. With 4D, the understanding is instant. Utilising the 3D model and a schedule is the first step - however, to give you a plan that works, the following components are needed.
Development of 4D construction schedule
We can build new or take in your existing programme of works and integrate with your model or a model we have generated. We use collaborative planning workshops along with norms to be able to develop a complete schedule that works for your project. This environment provides a greater understanding and buy-in of the delivery plans utilising your team’s experience and knowledge in building up the structure and detailed logic. Utilising the model as the focal point for the planning workshops ensures that all scope is reviewed and allows the team to understand physical constraints and challenges on access, logistics, people plant interfaces and more. Complexity and size of the project will determine how long this iterative process takes.
Production of 5D
Estimating your project using the 3D model and time phasing using 4D quickly allows us to understand how the project will be built and moves away from simple estimating models which struggle to take account of complexities in construction and fit out. By incorporating material quantities from the model into the 4D model, we can see where the volumes have changed allowing for a refresh of both time and cost.
Site Logistics
We create accurate dimensional models to represent any Plant and Equipment anticipated to be utilised on site. Utilising our models, we are able to optimise your plant and equipment usage. Vehicle movements can be accurately modelled showing vehicle routes, potential clashes, and number of movements per hour to highlight not just how busy your site will be, but also to provide a valuable insight as to how busy local roads may be around and outside of the site. We are also able to provide crane and other major Plant and Equipment operations to optimal outputs.
Temporary Works detailing
Another area that simply cannot be seen in traditional planning tools and environments and can often be missed from the 3D model. We add temporary access equipment, ramps and site routes to ensure you have a clash free program.
Each client working in a BIM environment will need to set a standard to support internal management, standardisation, and supply chain integration with the BIM model. We will develop a BIM Execution Plan customised to meet the project or client demands, taking the benefits of BIM through the lifecycle of your project and asset and ensuring you have a true digital twin.
